2016 SuperKarts USA Supernationals – Freddie Slater

Freddie got his Supernationals campaign off to a perfect start taking pole in qualifying at the 2016 SuperKarts USA Supernationals in Las Vegas last week. Freddie went on to succeed with three 3rd place finishes in the heats, all of which put him 3rd on the grid for the final. In very technical wet conditions Freddie took the lead straight away, leading until lap seven where he was passed by his closest rival for the weekend; Vinicius Tessaro. Freddie followed Tessaro hitting the front on the penultimate lap, the pair well clear from the rest of the field it would be a straight victory, tense until the end Freddie JUST missed out on pole by 0.129 seconds to take 2nd place! The SuperKart USA Supernationals featured global talents such as Sergio Perez, Paulo de Conto and Anthony Abasse presenting a real world level of competition, captured by the top publications and media in the karting world and for 2016 certainly provided some fantastic racing.
