Freddie hit the track for the Indikart Series at Hooton park in his new class Iame Cadet; the premier junior formula in Europe. Freddie took to the track well and was posting fastest lap times in every one of Saturday’s practice sessions. With a very mixed grid it was difficult approaching the less experienced drivers, however this gave Freddie good practice in overtaking and race craft ready for his first race meeting the very next day.

Freddie shone in qualifying posting a lap time 1 second faster than his Fusion team mate. Continuing his pace Freddie dominated the heats in style showing not only he could be fast but managing the traffic was made to look easy.

Griding up for the standing start on pole position Freddie knew if he got away at the start the race was his. Despite his engine bogging down on the start Freddie got into the lead in the early laps of the race and never looked back. Winning by a huge 4 second margin Freddie’s debut cadet race couldn’t have gone any better! Freddie proved he needed a tougher challenge….
