PF LGM – Freddie Slater

Freddie finished his rookie season off in style at the last round of the Little Green Man Series at PF international in Grantham. With Strong pace all weekend, he secured a 4th place finish in the championship, the youngest contender to finish so high up in the championships history.

Staging the CIK World Championship on the previous weekend, the stage was then set for the LGM finale. Progressively Freddie had climbed the championship table all year with a lot of success. Successful testing in the previous weeks showed Freddie’s good form for the conclusive round. Improving his race craft, at was is one of  the most technical tracks in the country, Freddie was able to progress in the mixed heat format. With impeccable defensive driving in wet conditions and fastest lap in heat 3 Freddie’s intentions were clear for the final.

A rough start meant the two leaders got away, however despite the knock back, Freddie fought through rivals and maintained 3rd place for the majority of the 15 minute race. A four way battle at the end of the race saw Freddie cross the line 4th and this was enough points to secure 4th overall in the championship. A remarkable season for a such a young talent. Freddie will now be working hard in preparation for the 2018 season when his championship assault will start in April.
