Shenington Club Race 15-16 October 2016 – Freddie Slater

Freddie started the club event with strong intentions. Winning the first heat in the drying conditions started the day off well. 5th and 9th in the next two heats put Freddie 2nd on the grid for the main final. A tough start meant Freddie was pushed to the outside. This track is notorious for not being able to recover from a bad start. Dropping back to 8th Freddie wasn’t finished and he worked his way back up to 4th however by the time the lead two had gone. A close race on the final lap with fellow racer Freddie Spindlow saw Slater cross the line in 4th. A strong result at his first race at this circuit.
